Skype Phone Review

I purchased my Skype phone last Tuesday and have been playing with it on and off since. I read the manual (as a good Padawan does) and found only basic help. I’m slowly getting there.
I love the size or should I say ‘lack of size’, its great, slim, small, hide it in your hand, fits in your pocket, its not chunky and does not weigh you down.
One thing I would comment on is that the head phone cord is a bit short another 2-3 inches longer and it would be acceptable 6 inches would make it perfect. At the moment if I put the phone in my pants packet it pulls on my ear as I walk, I can only say that they must have used short people testing this side of the product.
The quality of the skype phone connection is like it is on your computer (from the one short call I made) it was like talking on a 256kb connection the quality was OK to not so good. 3Three (the phone provider) gives you a limit of 4000 minutes of Skype time per month and if you exceed that amount then you could be disconnected/suspended, I assume that is for Skype only?
Three coverage is limited to the major cities and if you go outside this area you are using the G2 system.
The sync software that comes with the phone and sits on your computer is just a basic interface with few choices. I would like to see it connecting to online mail accounts for contacts and Flicker or Picasa for images, Google video and Youtube for video.
I am still playing with the Skype Phone and I am sure I will find more likes and dislikes in the coming weeks overall I like the phone and I like the price at US$150.00 or AU$179.00
